DOUBLE-TOOTHED KITE – Pura Vida Birds and Birding

The Double-toothed Kite is named for its most distinguishing morphological trait, the presence of two tomial "teeth:" tooth-like emarginations on the cutting edge of the maxilla (upper mandible).
